Comparison of DDDL versions

DDDL Versions compared: DDDL 8.19 (64 bit) and DDDL 8.13 (32bit), what has really changed?

Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL) is a software application specifically designed to test and service Detroit Diesel engines. DDDL is available in two versions: 32 or 64-bit this article, we will do a coparision between DDDL 8.19 (64 bit) and DDDL 8.13 (32 bit), so that you can choose the right one as per your demand:

Operating Systems:

Yes, DDDL 8.19 (64 bit) will work with Windows 10 (64 bit)

DDDL 8.13 (32 bit) is supported on Windows 7 (32 bit &Windows 10 (32 bit) only.

Detroit Diesel Engines:

DDDL 8.19 (64 bits) works with all Detroit Diesel motors post-2010.

DDDL 8.13 (32 bit) is good for all Detroit diesel engines prior to 2010…

Hardware:

DDDL 8.19 (64 bits), the OS needs a 4 GB of RAM or above and a processor of 64bit as well.

DDDL 8.13 (32bit) needs the following configuration, 32 bit processor and 2GB Ram and above

Performance

DDDL 8.19 (64 bit) is faster and more accurate compared to DDDL 8.13 (32bit). This is due to the 64-bit architecture which enables dddl 8.19 to handle more data at one time.

Recommendations

DDDL 8.19 (64 bit) – we only suggest this version if you are using a 64-bit operating system with a 64-bit processor.

If you have a 32 bit operating system or processor, Continue to use DDDL 8.13 (32bit).

Please be advised that for optimum performance and diagnostic accuracy, the most recent version of DDDL is the preferred engine. If you require optimal best possible performance and diagnostic consistency, then we suggest using 8.19 (64bit).
